Qualified to administer sacraments and conduct worship services, our team of chaplains and volunteers provide compassionate spiritual and religious support.
Spiritual and religious care services at Memorial Health University Medical Center are provided by a team of chaplains and volunteers who are qualified to administer sacraments and conduct worship services. Other services include emotional and spiritual support, spiritual counseling, assistance in accepting and coping with a diagnosis, assistance with end-of-life issues, ethical consultation, assistance with organ and tissue donation, crisis intervention, and clinical pastoral education.
Memorial Health has two chapels — one located near the main hospital lobby and another in the Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah. Patients and families are welcome to use our chapels as quiet spaces for prayer, reflection, meditation, or simply a moment of peace. Our chapels are open to people of all faiths and beliefs and provide a peaceful place for comfort and renewal during their time at the hospital.
